The Kustodie of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg has been dedicated to the material heritage of the university since 2018. Magdeburg as a location for medicine and medical technology hereby plays an important role since the history of the university hospital goes back to the 19th century. In sub-projects the focus lies on medical humanities and thus on the many relics from the medical collections, including the collection of medical technology, the collection of medical books, the anatomical model and map collection and art of medicine.
